Recovered

the puppy has that is! He is back to his naughty 2 year old labrador self!

He and Henry are both off to the vet in the morning (oops in 9 hours) for their check ups, hopefully dh can come and help control the dog as he gets sooooooooo excited lol.

Mothers day was lovely. My girlies gave me things they made in school :) and 2 girlies gave me a beautiful box of flowers with dutch irises, lily's and tulips and they smell DIVINE the other girlie gave me a a pandora bead for my bracelet it's a t shirt with a gold heart soooo sweet :)

Dh went the shop to get the Sunday paper :) he made me lots of coffee's and didn't comment when I made mothers day jammie day :) and I got to sit and work on girlie # 2's quilt a bit more :) and then he went to work and he bought me home chinese for dinner a great great day :)

I have the next 2 days off work so after a bit of housework and the vet in the morning I can feel a big sewing day coming up. I need to get the quilt top for work finished and I need to do some more of my Pies and Tarts, I am getting to far behind AGAIN and month 4 is here, so I am now 2.5 months behind. I would love to get some more Dear Jane blocks out of the way

Poor poor puppy

Poor Tanis, our very naughty puppy, went to the vet today as he has been shaking his head alot its like he had something in his ear, and he did, a big nasty infection. So he was sedated had his ears cleaned out and has been put on antibiotic tablets and ear drops.

He still isn't 100% and has the wobbles up, but because he hasn't been here all day he has had to check everything out like its the 1st time he's been here lol, not doubt he will be back to normal in the morning.

I spent the day making pillow cases for girlie # 3's class, they were super easy just time consuming, and were delivered to school by 2pm :)

I am out tonight at sewing I've SLOWLY made progress on the hand quilting BUT I may need to rethink my time schedule as I know I am not going to have it quilted by the end on next week, so I am changing my finish date to the end of May.....no pressure at all lol

We are out for dinner tomorrow night otherwise its a quiet weekend planned

Its cold here this morning. I have turned the heater on for the 1st time this morning and it took me a little while to figure out how to get the heat pump onto HEAT instead of aircon lol but its all good and I am thawing out :)

Friday afternoon it started looking like this

by Sunday night it looked like this

I added the 2 borders and girlie # 2 who 'just knew' it was for her loves it and told her sisters that 'it'll be finished in a couple of days' she wishes, lol I am giving myself 2 weeks to have it 100% finished as I am hand quilting it, then, all the girlie's quilts will have been handquilted by me oh I am using a verigated signature thread, looks great on the flowers :)

Now my redwork cushion swap arrived last week, from Marina in Victoria

How spoilt was I and lol I found the card for my swap recipient today oops, I'll have to pop it in the post to her this week lol.

tonight I am doing the backing, wadding, top thing I just need to iron the backing tape it to the floor and baste it, best get going if I am going to have it ready to start quilting while I watch Underbelly! I am going to hand quilt it as the other 2 girlie's quilts are hand quilted.......I may regret this one lol

Hmmmm

I have had a very costly and rushed kind of day

I slept in but made it work on time......just

DH came to collect me at lunchtime, our camper trailer arrives tomorrow :) so we had to go and pay for it, (expense # 1)

went back to work then the vet rang, Henry's new tablets had arrived.

finished work rushed to the vet, had to hand them $320 for the tablets, (expense # 2 and they had better work lol)

was rushing to get home before the girlies unfortunately for me I rushed in the wrong spot and received a speeding ticket (expense # 3 and 2 demerit points ) totally my own fault

DH saved the day though, he bought home fish and chips for tea :)

now onto the good stuff

yesterday I was lucky enough to receive my redwork cushion swap parcel, and I was very spoilt, with the cushion which girlie # 3 has taken for her bed AND a gorgeous little zipped pouch with ric rac and buttons inside AND some Lindt chocolates in a red box so so spoilt. I posted mine yesterday after a little last minute photography, I just made yesterdays post phew. I haven't had a chance to get a photo of my swap goodies, I will make sure I do tomorrow and will share with you all.

I am working on a secret squirrel quilt for my middle girlie, she has NO IDEA it is for her, I bought the fabric today and its all cut and ready for me to start sewing tomorrow. I have to work in the morning then I am coming home to play. Its the Dancing Flowers pattern I won on Helena's blog and speaking of sewing

the Beast is on its way home :)

oh and Harry decided he need to relax with a book this afternoon lol
