I'll Be Back

Think of me tomorrow as I crawl out of
my warm bed, leaving my bed mate Henry
sleeping on my pillow, at 4:30am

we are off to NSW until Friday night

my babies are all at grandmas

the kitties are going to be home alone

except when someone comes to feed, water and do
the kitty litter lol

we will be home 11pm Friday night

I have the camera packed

so I will be back sometime on Saturday with
my thoughts on the little town that is to become
our home.....

ciao

Weekly Weigh in time

and I will confess I wasn't feeling all that good
about standing on the dreaded scales

you see I have had a bit of a naughty week

Friday I ate Hungry Jacks
23 points worth of HJ
then to compensate I did a 1hr Kimax class
so my HJ feast cost me
12 points because of Kimax, but I did have
a few drinkies on Friday night, oh and Thursday night

I didn't go to Zumba on Saturday
but we did walk approx 4 kms looking at the flood

I didn't do Balance on Sunday

I went out for dinner last night and ate
2 little salads and a bowl of the
most yummiest hot chips

and washed it all down with 3 rum and cokes......

so what did the scales say tonight

-1.3kgs

now to make it through our trip to NSW
with no gym, nights out
and no gym....

I am taking my sneakers and I will be going for
long walks on the beach.

I am determined
not to gain weight this week

and I am ony 1.7kgs away from my 5% goal...

Go Me :)

Up to Date

With my Stitch a long blocks

and yesterday morning there was an attmept to

make the great escape

sadly for Henry that is as far as he got.

our suburb

I am happy and sad

does that make sense???

A non creative day

I did think about,
I even walked into my sewing room
then quickly walked back out.

I went to a Kimax class at the gym today
O.M.G it was awesome
me, a punching bag and as the instructor said
think of someone you don't like and smash it

lordy I smashed it lol

and she taught us the perfect move to break someones leg
if we ever need to,
apparently the only mark I would have
would be a small bruise on my shin.

Not that I am ever likely to need to do that lol but I
guess its good to be prepared

Had a rushed afternoon, girlies came home I played a quick
game of phone tag with a removalist
dropped the girlies to mums at 4pm for violin
raced back home to meet the removalist
who decided that he wanted to discuss Henrycat
I had to grab my phone and keys and just open the
front door at 5:25pm and made it very obvious
it was time to go.

He assures me now I have selected the to be store furniture/shed
that we will travel in only 1 container yay me lol. That has to lower the
cost, well I hope it does lol

We have our favourite movers rolling in for a quote on Friday
Lets hope its a huge improvement on the last one lol

I am off up the coast tomorrow to pick up dh, I have a pump class
Friday, Zumba on Saturday, Pump on Sunday followed by Balance
where tonight I learnt to do the hindu squat and 'the bird'
very tricky indeed
then we have my sister and her family for the night on Sunday
we are all off to dinner sunday night and they fly back to Sydney on Monday
and as far as we know we are still going to NSW on
Wednesday.......for a look see ooooh time away from the
girlies, but no gym for 3 days, I'll miss Balance, Kimax, Pump

Although we are still waiting for a definate yes, dh has
spoken to his referees who have been contacted, and its looking very
very very much like he has a new job.....

Fingers crossed we get word tomorrow or Friday.

Right now I am about to head to bed, I have a bit of a head
cold and a yucky cough, and I am surprisingly rather weary
tonight.

Today

Is my mummy and my sisters birthday

so to celebrate I made mum a double choc cheesecake

which sounds nice and yummy but was too sweet for her to eat

and the funny thing is I don't like cheesecake so everyone

was shocked when I made it lol

at least dad loved it and still has half to eat lol

now the weather here has been rather cruddy to say the least

windy, oh so windy little bit of drizzle

not really cold, but a great inside and sew kind of day

and look what I managed to get done

My garden, I just need to sew the blocks together,
add a border, quilt and bind it....YAY

and I need to confess I didn't make my bed today
and this is why

what a life Henrycat lives

at least he has stopped sleeping on dh's pillow lol
dh is apparenty allergic to cats and Henry knows this
so spends 6 weeks sleeping on his pillow while he is away
then moves back to my side, my pillow or beside me
just before he comes back from sea lol lol lol
and Harry sleeps in his basket on the floor
Harry is a good cat.

More cruddy weather predicted for tomorrow so who knows what I will
get done in my sewing room

Fee is having a giveaway

Go look here

follow Fee's rules

and you could win

2 charm packs and 1 metre of rose fabric

noice :)

What the Slave has achieved today

Firstly one has to intently watch the mop on
the off chance one could actually catch
said mop

the once one's slave begins the sewing room
cleanup/cleanout
one has to sit in the wrong place

One also has to make changing the sheets on the slaves bed
as difficult as possible, by resting in the middle so the slave
has to wait until one has rested sufficiently after mop watching
to enter the sewing room to supervise,

of course one has to get up before the slave gets the camera.

and this is what the slave managed to get done

before

after

ones slave has also been for her weekly weigh in
she doesn't want to discuss it, but one will

ones slave gained 500g but has lost 6cms off her body

slave here lol, apparently you need to weigh in at the same time each week
last week I weighed in at a morning meeting
today I weighed in at a night meeting

but I know all is good as I can wear size 14 jeans yay me lol
and all up I have lost 3.2kgs in 3 weeks and 11.5cms

so my ww leader Dianne said not to stress so I am not.

Out of control

Is the current state of my sewing room

so

after I have done the housework and dusted

I am going in

to sort, purge and make decisions

I need to downsize, whether we move or not

so today is the day

you never know I might just find some goodies

looking for new homes

so keep checking back as I can feel

a giveaway or 2 happening

Progress

I managed to get

My Garden blocks  ALL stitched

YAY

and now look like this

and I traced ALL the blocks for

Tis the Season and here are March's blocks

and we started to tackle the garden, then got distracted by an
offer of coffee lol.

On tonights agenda is to get my 1st block of
 traced, flosses wound onto cards
needleturn pieces ready to stitch.

so happy I got some stitching done over the weekend
heres to a productive week between gym classes, WW weigh in,
a trip up the coast to collect dh, the girlies hectic lives, Grandmas birthday
and a visit from my sister and her family. Not to mention the
usual housework, washing and ironing to be,oh and its linen change day on Tuesday
blah

I am tired just thinking about it all lol

Its the Weekend

Yippee

So what are our plans for this weekend

Miss E is off to a birthday party this afternoon and
is staying the night

it will be so quiet without her, we have discovered that if you remove
one girlie for a night the silence is bliss, no arguing, no yelling at siblings,
no she said or she did or muuuuuuum lol
just peace, after we drop her off we need to visit the supermarket and then we
will visit Grandma and Grandpa for a little while

I am supposed to be going to the gym for Zumba this afternoon
but have woken up with the beginings of a head cold
so instead of gymimg it, I am going to just relax
and chill out and eat good food

I also plan on tracing out the 1st 3 blocks for the
Tis The Season stitch along, but I must complete my
1 lone missing block from In my garden before I
can start stitching them

I started to sew the borders on the other In my Garden blocks, on Wednesday
I have 3 more to border
then I can sew the bottom 2 rows together
but really need to get the last block done.

Tomorrow I am doing Balance at 10:30
then I plan on coming home and getting into the garden
need to tidy it up before dh arrives home on Tuesday

Miss E comes home after lunch tomorrow.

So that is our weekend plans, nothing terribly exciting happening
just a relaxing pottering kind of weekend.

They say

Confession is good for the soul
so I guess I should confess

dh applied for a harbour Masters job
dh got an intervew for said harbour masters job
someone from NSW flew to Melbourne today to actually meet him face to face

and now we wait  for a yay or a nay.

If he gets it, and we are very confident he will
we will be moving (again)
this time to NSW, to the Sapphire Coast
a little town halfway betwen Melbourne and Sydney
its 475 kms to Sydney
3 hours to Canberra

BUT

and there is always a BUT lol

there is no relocation package for us this time
which means, we have to pay
and I just got a quote in from our favourite removalist company
and all I can say is

OUCH OUCH OUCH

who would have thought that moving from Tassie to NSW
could be so mind blowingly expensive

we could pay nearly 8 months worth of
mortgage payments

so please keep your fingers crossed for us
that we win lotto sometime in the next 3 weeks

** I spoke to dh about the lack of a relocation package
and he said that it is not common for them to be offered
WA gave us one due to the extremely remote location and
to make it more appealing , our move to WA and home again
would have paid our mortgage for 3 1/2years**

Houston, we have a problem

and I need some advice from wise ones
who have hopefuly dealt with our issue
before us.

Miss S has a 'best friend' Miss G

now Miss S is very popular with her friends
Miss G isn't Miss S is her ONLY friend
whenever Miss S asks someone else to be her partner
for something at school
Miss G becomes so nasty which is what happened today
at school

Now us mothers have always let them sort it out themselves
but tonight while I was doing my class at the gym,

Miss G turned on my baby girl, she was so mean to her
Miss I is now refusing to go to the gym at night
because Miss G is there.

My baby girl doesn't have a mean bone in her body
and for me to collect her and have her burst into tears
as soon as she saw me because of Miss G, has made my
blood boil.

My advice to the girlies was to ignore her at school
and when she asked Miss S to go for a play to say no thanks
and if she asked her to be her partner for anything to say
no thanks XXXX is my partner today.

Have I told them the wrong thing??

There is no point talking to her mother because her reply is
always oh thats just Miss G......

but its hard as her mum and I are such good friends, we do
WW together, we go to the gym together
we have afternoon drinkies, we go on trips etc etc

so HELP WISE ONEs please.
what did you do, because I am ready to
slap that child into next year.

So excited

first up though is my stitching

In my garden

in random order

all together minus the 1 I haven't stitched.....YET
and I have some stem stitch to do on 1 and a heart
to stitch on the house.....

and my neglected bear paws...

and why am I so excited...

I lost 1.5kgs this week :) :) :)

ony 19 to go lol

I have been stitching

away on Lynette Andersons

In my Garden button club thingie

I am pleased to report I only have 1 left to stitch

then I have to sew each blocks little borders on

then sew them all together....

But I am getting there.

photos of the 8 completed to come TODAY

My bear paws are still lacking 4, and are hanging

on my design wall neglected so I have to get back into them

I picked up Miss I's new quilt a couple of weeks ago

that is sitting on my chest of drawers far away from

Henry cat's free flowing fur waiting for the binding to be sewn on

I haven't started my new Anni Downs BOM

that wil happen AFTER I stitch my last In the garden stitchery

nor have I started Berries and Buebirds,

Block 9 of Down in the Garden is on its way to me in the post

Sooooo much to do so little time

and its my first weigh in today

considering I have been soooo very good in the food department

and I have done 2 zumba classes, 1 pump and 1 balance class

I am hoping for a good number.

and I have balance tonight, which is great cause

at the moment I need some Yoga, Tai Chi and balance

things are getting stressful...........

hopefully this Friday will bring some answers........

Roll on Friday :)

Remember

This post

well there has been a slight change of plans,

plans which changed at great expense I might add

so no fabric for me :(

well the amended plans are set in stone and if it changes

again there will be BIG trouble

My lil trip has been set back a week so I now have

another 15 days to wait

and patience is not a strong point of mine

before I am now sitting in one of these

and you know the rest, nothing else other than the dates have changed except I no longer have

to suffer with a Jetstar flight.......

Men, you can't live with and you can't legally shoot them either.

Sunday, March 13, 2011

I am balanced

which was far more successful than Zumba

minimal co-ordination needed lol
So I hoped on the scales at the gym
to find I had apparently gained 1.5kgs
bad, bad, bad
but it seems the scales at the gym may need
new batteries
because according to the wii board on Thursday I have lost 1.2kgs
but after a quick weight check today I have gained 100g....

so I loaded the kids in the car and we went and burnt my 100g off
with a 2km walk through the Gorge and back along the zig zag track
which today took a whole
45 minutes.......

I am sure we  will all sleep like logs tonight :)

I am off to do a Pump class tomorrow afternoon
 Balance on Wednesday evening
Zumba on Friday morning
& Saturday afternoon
and Sundays plan is pump followed by balance.

Downward dog here I come lol

my girlfriend assures me my 100g gain is muscle

I hope she is right

Saturday, March 12, 2011

Its Official

I have just come home from the gym where I did
my first zumba class

it was great, loads of fun and lots of giggling
and lots of sweat
but
its official
when it comes to getting both arms and legs
moving
I seem to lose all co-ordination

oh well off to do it again next week

I'll have to report in tomorrow afternoon about
the Balance class
its a mix of tai chi, Pilate's and yoga
it lengthens your muscles apparently

so
here's to longer muscles and an increase in height lol

Thursday, March 10, 2011

Where in the World.....

In 13 days I will be sitting in one of these

so I can sit in one of these

then 2 days later

I will sitting in one of these

so I can sit in one of these

all the way home.

and its a girlies free trip

thanks to Grandma and Grandpa who will be

girlie, kitty, puppy and house sitting.

Bring it on!

Zig Zag

Not the stitch lol,

yesterday I walked the zig zag track

which runs along the Cataract Gorge
it was steep, very very steep and got my heart racing
big time,
then I walked back along the normal persons path
to the car.

I started at 1 followed path 9, to 8, then 7 to 5
4 and back along 2

In total I walked 2 kms, and hated the first 900 m
with a passion.

Now I know why I didn't see anyone walking ahead of me,
I just saw them walking towards me.

Oh well I feel great for it except my calves hurt and plan on tackling it again
tomorrow morning.

Today I am off to the police station......
with Miss I and her class as her
teacher is married to a policeman
we are walking into town having recess and then
we will walk to the police station and YAY
we are catching a bus back.

My husband said he hoped they let me back out lol

and he roared laughing at my text yesterday which said

'just walked the zig zag track, I want to die'

but he stopped laughing when I told him he was doing
it twice a week with me when he gets back.....

we will see who is laughing then.

I'll have 2 more weeks of the track
under my belt before he does one.......

I am thinking I will get the last laugh after his
1st time lol lol

Monday, March 7, 2011

I took the plunge

and joined weight watchers tonight

apparently I need to lose 20.5 kgs

and I am determined to do it

hopefully by the time I turn

32+8 in June

so I am putting it out there, so I have no excuse

when I was asked what my goal weight was I said

'Skinny' lol

wish me luck I have a terrible bbq shape and m&m addiction

8 bbq shapes means 3 points
25g of m&m's means 3 points

I think the m&m's will win

wish me luck I am going to need it

Desperately

trying to find an online stockist of

Grandmothers Flower Garden

designed by Rosalie Quinlan
so I can finish my
Down in the Garden Quilt!

I don't need alot and would prefer fats 1/8s to fat 1/4's
if I can't find any I can't finish it....

feeling very very frustrated!

on a happier note,
the heaters are wired in
new sensor light is installed and working
and the girlies are at school

YIPPEE

and I have decided that I can't start my
Tis the Season SAL until
I have completed the stitcheries
for
Lynette Andersons

In My Garden....

I only have 5 to do and they are small so
I should get them finished in no time.
I hope

and

I am off for a little break with the man of the house
in a couple of weeks
but more on that AFTER
it happens!

Friday, March 4, 2011

Ummm

Can anyone tell me what Eden, NSW is like

all I know is by car 3 hrs to Canberra

5-6 hrs to Sydney or Melbourne

help....

Google is telling me very very little

Thursday, March 3, 2011

its been a DIY kind of day

with a little spot of sewing of the bear paws thrown in

Last winter we got a whopper of a power bill

$1700 for 3 months

our heat pump which was on 24/7 cost us $330 for those
3 months, the culprits of the outrageous amount were the
panel heaters on the landing downstairs and in the girlies
room.

Tomorrow we have our electrican coming to wire the panel heaters in
and to replace our sensor light out the front before daylight savings ends

So this afternoon my handy Daddy came and hung the heaters

the landing heater, and I still  have to move the quilt hangers up higher so the girlies
Little Bluebirds quilt can go back up, but I will do that after the
sparkie has worked his magic

the bunkers heater

then I got the ladder out as 2 lights in the kitchen had blown
and replaced the bulbs

and I put the cover back on the bathroom light which falls off
every 3 months or so, and always in the early hours of the
morning which scares the life out of me lol

not an easy feet as I have to stand on the 2nd highest rung of the ladder
to reach as we have 9 ft ceilings, my heart races everytime I have to do it.

and I put together an outdoor heater
so we can continure to use our deck for Friday afternoon drinks with
some of the mums from school lol

because it is getting very chilly here and I am wondering if we are in
for an early winter....and a cold one

Tuesday, March 1, 2011

Tis the Season

Today I found my fabrics

I am using

a mix of Rural Jardin and some other Moda goodness

and I took a trip to Calico Crossroads I had to pick up
my kit for the new Homespun BOM

and of course no post is complete without a photo
of Henrycat, as I emptied the bag of fabric
he climbed in

He has a bag fetish

shopping bags, paper bags, gardening bags
suitcases, handbags, plastic bags
if it is empty its his....

I also cleaned spotlight out of Olfa 45mm cutting blades
they were on sale, down to $7.93 each so I bought 4 today

I got 4 on Sunday too

at that price they were worth stocking up on.
