Sidetracked Today

After I put the makings and pattern away for Florence

and tidied up my messy lil sewing room ready to continue

on with my Civil War Quilts blocks, I heard a plastic bin

calling out

Pick Me Pick Me lol

so I did and inside that bin was these

and now I have 3 lil paws to make and 1 more big paw print block

when its finished it should be 89" x 89"

big enough for my bed yay.

now onto a sadder note

I lose my sewing room tomorrow for 10 days

 think of me here with my 3 girlies and my sisters 3 teenagers

 I will be shifting my sewing machine out to the dining room I

 just hope Mr 15 doesn't mind me popping in occasionally to get what I need...

                                         Is it just my computer or is blogger not playing nicely tonigjt?
                                             I have had to do this post edit via my phone blogger did let me
                                                 do the original post but then wouldn't let me add it



                                                             Frustrating is putting it mildly

So tempted

to start something new,

but as i still have the FINAL Down in the Garden block to

stitch so that means I can't.... :(

shame really because I pulled out all the bits to make this

today for Miss Imogen who decided she NEEDED a Florence

to keep her much loved Magoo company

So I am about to put all the fabric away for when the block is stitched

and get stuck into some more civil war quilts blocks.

today I woke up and remembered with a shock that

I am now

40 years old

sad thing is I don't want to be that number

I want to be 32 forever........

32 was a good year,

we lived in North Queensland

had a 15 yo, 2 x 2 year olds and a new baby girl

and those 2 year olds used to nap for 2.5 hours everyday

that new baby girl gave me a present this morning

30 cents, I will have to spend it wisely lol

Emma made me a 32+8 card (lol)

dh bought me an iPhone 4

and I received 12 red roses yesterday from him too

ds no doubt will have forgotten

so today we are off to the hospital to see my mama

then I get to share my day with some wonderful girlfriends

we are having a sunday session on the deck around the dining
table as its now raining :)

I advised them to BYO jumpers....

and 1 of them has made me a cake with m&m's

I am feeling the love xx

The Plan of Attack for today

Firstly I have to go into town briefly

secondly I have to go visit my mama in hospital who had a

spinal fusion on Monday and isn't feeling the greatest :(

then it will be home to tackle another WISP

today its applique-ing the final blocks for

Mother Goose Nursery

only 3 to do

2 now

last one  :)

should be able to get them ALL done today as they are quite

quick to applique on the machine

so if it all comes of tomorrow will be spent stitching them together

adding borders and then posting the top home to WA yippee.

I willbe back later with a progress update :)

As scheduled last night my version of

My Garden

is tonight, quilted,

binding sewn on

and a hanging sleeve too

 tonight  last night I will stitched the binding down.

So that is 1 less WISP on my list

and lookie here its on the wall (finally)

and I found the missing button

Look Look Look

I had a 2 hour window this afternoon to myself

so I used my time productively

I ate lunch

then I sewed on Wolfie........

and I got this together

although

I have since discovered I sewed the top row onto the bottom

and the bottom row onto the top lol and I need to find the final button to sew

onto the tree block....

and I couldn't be bothered cope with doing the scrappy border so I didn't

I have an appointment tomorrow at 9am then its

home to get this basted and quilted

before the girlies come home

I also got the final 3 blocks of Mother Goose stuck down

now I just need to stitch them down

sew the blocks together add the borders and

post it off to WA

that is the plan for Thursday and Friday

and of course I am still stitching my EPP for the

Antique sampler I am doing in Indigo's

photos of all that to come.

and I found a few W.I.V.S.P so I am thinking

I will do a bit of sewing on them to get them out of the way

Mother Goose Nursery, 3 blocks to be stitched down, top together, borders

and posted home to WA for quilting (shop sample) I ran out of black floss

last night with 7 words left to stitch......frustrating I can tell you

 1 table runner which just needs to be stitched together, quilted and bound

1 qs quilt, needs the blocks finished, sewn together then one day get quilted

the final block of Leanne Beasley's Down in the garden

FINAL BLOCK  people.......... its been waiting for 3 months

Tis the Season........only managed to get the first month stitched.....

so until I have been back to cross them off I am banning

myself from starting anything new......

like Lynette Andersons latest button club,

have the buttons and the fabric

Annies Downs BOM (month 2 and beyond)

Berries and Bluebirds BOM (month 2 and beyond)

no pressure at all

NONE I tell you

Tomorrow, Tomorrow

I am looking forward to tomorrow

school goes back, although that means no more

sleep ins for me :(

but it also means that my sewing room is free for me to use

during daylight hours :)

as it will be girlie free, and I would love to actually get something

finished for OPAM, as its seems

I have finished NOTHING since April........

and I have a small project that just needs to be sewn together

quilted and the binding down.

Surely I can acheive that before the 1 July.

Tomorrow also means I get to see my mummy who is in hospital

she had to have some back surgery today and as she is as high

as a kite on pain killers tonight I thought I would wait until tomorrow to visit

then if she is up to it I will take the girlies up after Sophie's eye appointment.

We think she might need glasses and if she does, we will pick out some

gorgeous funky ones for her.

The birthday girls had a fabulous day today.

I still can't believe they are 10 years old......

Our Trip in Pictures part 1
