Going AWOL

My computer is being taken to the fix it man tomorrow.

It will no longer update my anti virus nor will the antivirus program scan the drives etc.

then

I am constantly having the 'internet explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close' message or I just lose the internet altogether, it has been bugging me but tonight well I am frustrated beyond belief.

Technology isn't it supposed to make life EASIER????

On My Bed

YIPPEE

I started this sampler quilt at a beginners patchwork class in June 08, it was 100% put together but I was having some issues when it came to quilting as it was so bulky

so.....

I dropped it off to the quilting lady about a month ago and this is what she returned to me at sewing last week, so over the weekend I made some binding as I cant' find the original binding, and I sewed it down finishing late yesterday afternoon. After a wash in the machine and a tumble on low in the dryer and TA DA

(excuse the fluff and it's un ironed)

and some of the quilting

each corner is quilted this way looks stunning

and the basket block quilting

I wonder what the delivery man will bring this week????

Its back

my sampler quilt is back. I dropped off to be quilted about 3 weeks ago and it was returned to me at sewing tonight and it looks fabulous.

Now I just need to remember where I put the binding strips lol, maybe I will hunt for them on Friday I have plans for tomorrow

I can't wait to have it 100% finished

A Sad Day

I found out today that my good friends sister in law Raylene passed away on Monday, she had a massive seizure and was found still seizing by her girls after school, they think that she then had a massive heart attack, but until the autopsy is done, no one is 100% sure .Raylene leaves behind 2 gorgeous little girls who are 9 and 11 and a house full of memories for them.So if you are the praying type, could you please say a prayer for Raylene and her girls.The girls are currently with my friend and her family as their father passed away 6 years ago.

Moda Love

I have always loved Moda fabics, especially the jelly rolls, when the moda catalouge arrived at work, I started to drool and dream of what I wanted lol, well I got to help do the selecting for the order and I was so excited when I unpacked a delivery yesterday to find it full of Moda Love!

I bought home

2 fat quarter bundles 1 bundle is Aviary by 3 Sisters and the other is Beach House

then I added the jelly rolls to match and I am tempted to add the sweet rolls........

then I started making bias for the quilt for the shop, I needed bias lessons lol, and here is a sneak peak of the shop quilt, and I finally used the beast to applique the bits down.

I *Heart* the delivery man

because today at work he delivered the beast

and some toys for the beast to play with

and then on Friday I had to contend with this pillow/bed hog lucky I love the long furred hippie cat

and I can't really play witth the beast because I have to work tomorrow and Wednesday :(

Ohhh a question if you had the opportunity to buy a quilting frame for an excellent price would you do it??? Will add the frame details later.... I do kow it will take king size quilts,

I have the opportunity but not too sure hence the question........

The roof didn't cave in!

the girlie's are doing their first reconciliation this year at school and tonight was their 'commitment' mass.

I went to church twice last year, on Christmas Eve and again the following weekend because Grandpa was here and he wanted to go.

I even made DH go tonight too he last went to church when the littlest girlie was baptised in 2004.

I am what you would call a lapsed catholic, and I only knew it was happening because I had to drop the girlie's excursion permission forms off and I was asked at the office, so I quickly filled out the forms there then and well you know the rest lol.

Otherwise I have been working on the shop quilt, I have decided to cheat and machine applique using clear thread

not plans for tomorrow as yet, I need to do some cleaning blah, I might even get baby C's quilt sandwiched together ready for the beast to arrive, which should be on MONDAY as it was sent on Tuesday.

Its my mumma's birthday tomorrow (Sun) and my sisters birthday, so Happy Happy Birthday Mum and Lib.
