there's been no sewing here, not a stitch, I did turn the beast on at one stage but I then turned it off to enjoy the peace while the girlie's were bike riding with DH.

So the weekend has gone like this

Saturday I worked until 12 and we were FLAT OUT! then I had a birthday party to go to, we left that around 1:15, stopped at the supermarket came home, I did a spot of mowing, went and picked up Dh's new bosses car from the car carrier and I drove it to their work, it was a 2005 Astra Coupe, and I can happily say I LOVE my 2007 Astra Hatch soooooo much better we came home and did not much else for the day/evening.

Today (Sunday) I did a spot more mowing, cooked dinner as the 'new boss' was joining us, the girlie's played the Wii until 9pm....then they were sent to bed, so DH and had a go we did alot of laughing.

Tomorrow is a public holiday in Western Australia so there is very little planned for us, I am going to do some sewing I am ready to applique block 5 for Paying with Angels, and I found the most gorgeous pattern for girlie # 3's bed quilt 'cause I only have little one mummy' , speaking of girlie # 3, its almost her birthday she will be 6 years old but she doesn't know what she would like, she has NO IDEA, so do you have any ideas for presents. I don't

Regret

tomorrow when I wake up I am going to have major regret!

WHY

because not so little old me did Wii Fit lol and were my legs burning after it rofl.

Sigh, we have to do these things.

I just hope it really works.

I am busy working on Playing With Angels, tonight I finished block 1, so I now have blocks 1, 2, 3 and 4 completed and block 5 is cut out and ready to be ironed into place, thank goodness for machine applique :)

dh has applied for a couple of jobs so fingers crossed.

I am working in the morning, then we have a birthday party to go to and I have to do some shopping other wise we have nothing else planned.

Dear Jane

We are having our last inspection tomorrow so I spent part of yesterday trying to control my sewing corner and I found my bag of Dear Jane gear, you know what happened next, I was sidetracked by Dear Jane in a productive way and have added another 5 blocks and 1 triangle to the pile of finished blocks all bar 1 were foundation pieced.

I'll share photos tomorrow.

Today the baby girlie had a birthday party to go to, dh cleaned the kids bathroom and toilet, I did the rest of the house he even cleaned the oven :) :) :) that alone made my day lol, he mowed and I sewed. A great day indeed.

Traffic Lights and New Stuff

Traffic Lights, the ONLY set in town lol, they make me laugh every time I see them which has only been twice in the almost 2 years we have lived here.

Sanshi LOVE for me, unfortunately my wallet just couldn't cope with WHAT I wanted so I shopped via the bosses wallet. I have the Sanshi Koi Quilt which was in Better Homes and Gardens earlier this year to make up for the shop, some Sashiko embroideries and some gorgeous little purses to be made out of vintage kimono fabrics....it was heaven in a Freemantle room.

Kevlar circles in 2 sizes can't wait to play with these.

I saw this egg basket in the window of a chemist in a teeny tiny town on Sunday we made sure we came home the same way so I could get it, I can't keep eggs in it here so I am going to fill it with lemons until we are back in Tassie :) I love my chicken

I'm Back

Finally

after a very long day in the car, being pulled over by the highway patrol for being a touch over the speed limit, and let off with a caution phew I was excited we were 165kms away from home :)

anyhoo

I am back, tired and almost ready for bed.

I'll be back tomorrow to share what I bought (which wasn't much) and what we did.

Soooo glad to see home, the girlies, dh and the kitty's next time I am flying and will get collected at Perth airport lol

Its Raining It's Pouring

again/still!

and its windy

and council decided to do some roadworks on the road we use to get home so its very slippery and muddy and thank goodness for the electronic stability program thingie in my car, otherwise I would have been in the bush and very stuck!

but

I am sewing down the binding on 'A Christmas Story' and I added a hanging sleeve (my 1st one) I got it quilted this afternoon but it won't be finished until late next week because on Sunday.....

I am going to Perth I just need to remember Tap Shoes, Cowgirl Hats x 2 and I will have done well.
