my only complaint is it beeps when the auto off kick's in

I have made 22 of the required 123 kaleidoscope hexagons

I have cut out 600 printed 't's and 200 kites for the hexagons only

138 printed and 538 white bits left the cut :)

look at my cutting mat....

I have sorted prints with the kites ready to sew

and the needing kites and sorting into piles side

no pressure at all.

Now I need a favour please

I need to purchase 3 charm parks of 1930's reproduction prints for the centres of

the hexagons, I can get them from the States,

BUT

I would prefer to shop in Australia

so any online store suggestions will be gratefully appreciated.

I am going to start working on my SKOW quilt again tonight

while I was away oops

First up is Gail Pan's Homecoming Lane

I wanted this as soon as Gail started showing sneak peaks

on Facebook

I got the patterns and fabric kit from the always

gorgeous Pauline at Calico Crossroads

Then is Ulverstone I found this yummy pattern and templates

and these were in my stash, I sorted them all out as part of

the friday night sew in that was on :)

plus the right amount of background fabric  means I am starting to

cut out templates today

This delicious pattern was at Esmes, and it was

half price

2 fat quarters for my stitch a long quilt

and this was waiting for me when I got home

and progress on the stitchery I took away with me

I did a very small amount last  night for the Friday night Sew in

and its bloody nice to be home and sleeping in my bed again

my life would be fabulous if  Henrycat would talk to me, he has

ignored me since I walked in the front door!

In 24 hours

I will be home with my little family

and I can't wait.

Don't get me wrong its been fabulous

here with my family but I miss

my little family so very much

and my Henrycat, mums cats are so

anti social its just plan annoying

We went up the coast yesterday and I bought

2 patterns (1 Anni Down's and 1 using 1930's prints)

 and 2 fat quaters for my Stitch A Long quilt

thats it

today however I have bought internet security

dog medication, pressies for  my girlies

and a cookbook oh and another yummy quilt pattern

we have been out for dinner, and I have checked in

for my flight to Melbourne, my case is packed

except for my jammies and bathroom bag

I am so ready to go home lol

My gorgeous man sent me roses for Valentines day

they were sitting on mums doorstep when we got home

from our drive I felt very special lol

so the morning will be full of going to town,

& drinking yummy coffee until its time to go to the

airport....

Hoping to come back after her treatment has finished

she has had another pet scan and to go to the dr for the results

my sister and I decided today that it is exactly what we will

do, get straight from the dr this time.

Fingers crossed, it all starts Tuesday

I am a homebody

and I miss my babies and Webby. I am happiest at home surrounded by our 'stuff' my little family and Henrycat and Frank the quilty beast

I could happily be an agoraphobic and never leave home lol even Webby said yesterday he was surprised I was still here as a week is my usual limit for being away, with or without him and the girlies 1 week is my limit lol when I am home I go out once a day to pick the girlies up from school and I leave Eden only to do the groceries in Merimbula it's pathetic really

So I am keeping busy until I head to the airport on Thursday, tomorrow I am meeting a girlfriend for coffee then going to town with my parents, visiting my sister and her family we will do coffee and then some sewing with mum to finish off the last grand child's quilt. We are going out for dinner too.

Thursday I need to go to the vets to collect the naughty puppies ear medication, office works to get our updated Internet security, Kmart for a new book or 5, and to a local newsagents for a cookbook I have been looking for in NSW and not found. Then it will be back to mums to pack my bags and head off to start my journey home to my little family and Henrycat I can't wait :)

See I am a total homebody but by Monday I will probably be wishing I was elsewhere lol no doubt the girls will think I have missed their constant fighting and crank it up a notch just for my benefit!

4 more sleeps

Until I fly home to my babies and Webby. Apparently they are coping just fine without me there keeping them all in check and fed properly :).

Having a great time here though, we do coffee out everyday, we potter, we shop, I have been to see our house, the house itself is fantastic but my much loved cottage garden that I spent lots of hours and lots of money on has met its maker, it's pretty much dead in parts and my front garden is just awful. Had a few words with the tenants and a few more with the real estate who have assured me it will be bought back to how it was when we left and not at our expense and they are getting a gardener in at their expense too I mean really how hard is it to turn on a tap everyday and water it.

We have a treatment schedule in place, is going to be a hard road to travel but you have to have a little faith I guess in the medical professionals that they are doing the right things.

Off up the coast on Tuesday to visit some patchwork shops, I went to see Pauline at Calico Crossroads put my name down for the next button club Lynette Anderson does and picked up my patterns and fabric for Gail Pan's Homecoming Lane I posted it home along with 2 quilt tops that I get to quilt on Frank when I get home.


Will also be having a quiet narky word with my siblings before I leave too I am very over their he said, she said behavior and to be honest I am just not interested in their crap I have other things to worry about these days like my mum and my boy who is having done health issues of his own.......

I have managed to get quite a bit of the stitchery I bought down with me done, it's Leanne Beasleys Sew, Laugh, Love it's very relaxing here and I have been sleeping so well I just hope I continue to sleep this well when I get home on Thursday

Oh and there is also 5.6kgs less of me not to bad for 6 weeks of eating well and drinking far to much water. That kitchenaid blender will be on my kitchen bench sooner than I expected lol.

hubby and I went to Merimbula on

Thursday I needed to get

wadding, backing and binding fabric

for mum's quilt

Something to watch while I was quilting on the quilty beast

not that you can actually watch a dvd and quilt

at the same time

and on tomorrows to do list because Scouts starts back on

Thursday and I have double to sew on, the pressure is

building.

Tomorrow you can see mums Chemo Quilt, quilted, washed, dried, full

of love, its in the dryer right now

The girlies had a great week at school, they all have lovely

teachers, re connected with their friends, all are happy

so far.

Next trip is being booked when I get home for late April returning to NSW
mid May, she will be mid chemo then and dad will be needing a break.

I need to join frequent flyers I think  :)

In My garden all ready for quilting after

my trip home, I still have the string to stitch on the

tomato trusses, a goose beak and 3 little squares

thats is tonights job as I don't have any other

stitching ready to do of an evening

and mums chemo quilt, we are going to

Merimbula in the morning to get some backing fabric, binding

and wadding

I didn't have quite enough of the border fabric so I had to improvise

I think it looks ok though.

Flights are booked, and I still have enough left on my

Christmas voucher for another trip home in a couple of months

Roll on Monday 7:30am when I start my trip home

will have a couple of big finishes for OPAM when I get home
