So without further ad0 here is todays sewing effort
a giant pincushion and a catch bag for threads etc.
Mine even looks like the pattern so I am pretty happy about that, although the strap that holds the bag to the pincushion had to be adjusted to fit to my liking.

I just hope the recipient loves it because I loved making it so much I have another 3 to make.
1 is for me, 1 is for my mum and 1 is for mums best friend who girlie # 3 loves.
*** make that 2 to go, made mine tonight in less than an hour, but I only made the pincushion for me***
